Pastor James T. Elam Jr. is a native of Isle of Wight County. He is married to Penny Newman and they have two sons, James III and Joshua. Pastor Elam is the son of the late Pastor James T. & Bernice Elam Sr. He is a graduate of Virginia State University and Richmond Christian Center Bible Institute.

Pastor E as he is affectionately called by his congregation, is the Pastor and Founder of Dunamis Christian Center, a Non-denominational word church. Pastor E’s heart is for the people of God, and his mission is to release the POWER of Dunamis, while preaching the Gospel of Grace. It is his desire to see peoples lives “changed and rearranged for the good” by the messages he Teaches and preaches weekly! His vision is to Teach and preach the word of God with demonstration of the Spirit and Dunamis power, making a difference in the lives of people; ultimately changing them to become anointed like Christ!

He is the author of two books, 10 reasons why Satan does not want the believer filled and speaking in tongues, and his latest release, Resting in the finished works of Jesus; Stay Seated in Your Executive Authority. This book was inspired by His released song “Rest in the Finished Work ” available on Apple Music, and Spotify.
